The 39th Winter Animal Behavior Conference

The WABC is a very special conference. Only about 30 people attend each year. Attendees are free all day, and meet in the evenings for talks and dinner. The small size allows participants to attend every talk, and to spend plenty of quality time with one another.  David spoke about the lab's research showing that singing birds warm up. He enjoyed the company of fantastic scientists like Dai Shizuka, Molly Morris, and his graduate adviser, Mike Baker. He also managed to squeeze in a few days on the slopes, and a trip to the beautiful hot springs (pictured) nearby.
