Field season 2018

Sam, Peter, and David visited our field site in Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico. In spite of the recent passages of Hurricanes Irma and Maria, there were a lot of Adelaide’s warblers at the Refuge.  We captured a bunch of new birds, including many new females.  This was the first year we attached radio-transmitters to the birds. These tiny devices allowed us to follow the birds wherever they went, even when they were silent and hidden.  We collected tons of recordings and spatial data for Sam and Peter’s theses.
